ROVENSA NEXT SECURES R$45 MILLION IN FINEP FUNDING TO ACCELERATE BIOSOLUTIONS R&D AND ADVANCE AGRICULTURAL INNOVATION IN BRAZIL
The Brazilian Funding Authority for Studies and Projects (FINEP) financing will accelerate the development of new adjuvant, bionutrition and biocontrol solutions, strengthening Rovensa Next’s portfolio and its ability to meet the evolving needs of modern agriculture.
The investment, alongside other recent milestones of the company such as its new pilot fermentation plant, further establishes Brazil as a strategic hub for Rovensa Next’s global innovation network, to advance and scale next-generation biosolutions for growers around the world.
Madrid, September 10, 2026. Rovensa Next, the global leader in biosolutions for agriculture, has secured R$45 million (approximately US$8.8 million) in financing from the Brazilian Funding Authority for Studies and Projects (FINEP) to boost its investment in research, development and innovation in Brazil. The project was included under FINEP’s “Mais Inovação” (More Innovation) program, a subsidized initiative designed to promote sector innovation by encouraging research and technological development.
The funds will be allocated to the creation and development of new biosolutions, such as bionutrition, biocontrol and adjuvants inputs, strengthening the company’s portfolio of solutions and contributing to an increasingly productive, efficient and sustainable agricultural sector. Securing this funding is a testament to the technical quality, potential impact, and strategic relevance of the research led by Rovensa Next.
ACCELERATING GLOBAL R&D CAPABILITIES IN BRAZIL
Brazil serves as a rapidly growing hub for Rovensa Next’s global R&D operations. Alongside securing this new funding, the company recently achieved another independent milestone in the region with the opening of its new pilot fermentation plant at the Monte Mor industrial site. Working in close connection with the Global Research and Innovation Center for Biosolutions in Hortolândia, this integrated ecosystem allows the company to rapidly scale microbial biosolutions from early-stage laboratory research to full industrial production.
Brazil is a priority market and a strategic powerhouse for our global innovation network. This FINEP funding will accelerate our R&D projects, further enhanceing our ability to develop cutting-edge biosolutions that address local agricultural challenges while successfully scaling these technologies to support growers worldwide.
— Victor Sonzogno, Head of Brazil at Rovensa Next
STRATEGIC INNOVATION FOR SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
Rovensa Next, which markets its solutions in over 90 countries, is committed to continuously investing in the development of technologies capable of addressing the key challenges of modern agriculture. The transaction with FINEP, arranged over a 16-year term and covering 90 percent of the total project cost, provides long-term stability to advance these strategic initiatives. Sonzogno noted that this level of backing represents “a major recognition of the strength of our innovation program and the potential of the technologies we are developing in Brazil.”
Riccardo Vanelli, Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer at Rovensa Next, also stated that the funding “represents a significant step forward in our mission to connect market opportunities with product innovation,” adding that “by expanding our research and development capacity in a biologically diverse and agriculturally advanced market like Brazil, we enhance our ability to create effective solutions that meet the specific needs of our distributors and growers on a global scale.”
This initiative will enable the company to accelerate projects aimed at developing biological solutions that contribute to crop productivity, soil health and the sustainability of agricultural systems, aligned with Rovensa Next’s Biosolutionize Agriculture, a science-backed campaign that shows how biosolutions help growers improve performance and profitability, cut synthetic load and farm more sustainably across crops and climates worldwide.
