He has led major agribusiness operations across Latin America, including over a decade at Syngenta Biologicals and Valagro.
Reporting to Chief Commercial Officer Riccardo Vanelli, he will drive Rovensa Next Brazil’s expansion. The company already operates two advanced production plants and has a strong R&D presence in the country. His proven expertise in business development and team transformation will be key to strengthening Rovensa Next’s market position.

Sonzogno has a strong career of over 22 years, showing strong performance in the biologicals sector and strategic consulting. He is known for his skill in accelerating results, business development, and post-acquisition integration. Moreover, he consistently bridges global strategies with effective local execution. As a leadership team member for agribusiness companies, he has a proven track record. He has consistently surpassed budget targets and expanded biologicals awareness.

Sonzogno will report directly to Riccardo Vanelli, Chief Commercial Officer. His deep knowledge of the biologicals sector will be key to strengthening Rovensa Next’s position. Furthermore, his strategic mindset and robust regulatory, legal, and agribusiness network will expand the company’s impact in the vital Brazilian market.
A Strong Footprint in Brazil
Rovensa Next has a significant presence in Brazil, with over 500 employees and two advanced production plants. For example, the Campinas facility specializes in bionutrition, biofertilizers, and biostimulants. It also houses an Excellence Center for Biological Product Design. Meanwhile, the Arapongas plant focuses on biocontrol products and orange oil-based adjuvants. This strong local infrastructure highlights Rovensa Next’s commitment to innovation.

Prior to joining Rovensa Next, Sonzogno spent over eleven years leading Syngenta Biologicals in Brazil and as Head of LatAm. Under his leadership, the company achieved high growth. It also gained strong market recognition in the biological and special nutrition sector. He accomplished this through strategic redefinition, a crop focus review, a sales team overhaul, and portfolio expansion.
His background also includes eleven years in Management Consulting. During this time, he was Founder and Managing Director of VEX Consultoria and a Manager at Ambrosetti. Victor Sonzogno holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership from MIT/Columbia/Tuck, an Executive MBA in Finance from IBMEC/INSPER, a Project Management (PMBOK) certification from Poli-USP, and a B.A. in Business Administration from FEA-USP (2003).
