Eden Research plc (AIM: EDEN), a leader in sustainable biopesticide and biocontrol technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of Syngenta Crop Protection AG (“Syngenta”) as the Company’s exclusive distribution partner for professional uses in indoor and outdoor ornamental crops (“Ornamentals”) in several EU countries and the UK.

Working under a Distribution Agreement (“Agreement”), Eden and Syngenta will register and develop the market for Eden’s novel fungicide product, to be marketed by Syngenta as “Evelta™”, for uses such as cut flowers, pot plants, trees, shrubs, and bulbs. Eden shall be responsible for, and maintain ownership of, the product registrations, whilst Syngenta will invest in, conduct, and provide access to, the biological efficacy data needed for registration purposes.

Once registered, Eden shall supply finished product to Syngenta who shall then sell to professional ornamental growers using the significant market access it has built up over several decades.

Syngenta is a multinational, science-based agriculture company, empowering farmers to meet the demands of modern agriculture. Using cutting-edge innovation, Syngenta helps farmers to grow resilient, healthy crops that can feed a growing global population, while promoting sustainable farming practices that protect and enhance our planet. “We are pleased to have signed our first commercial agreement with one of the world’s largest crop protection companies and a true industry leader,” said Sean Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Eden Research. “In the last five years, Eden has partnered with two of the top five crop protection companies globally, which is a strong endorsement of Eden’s products, technologies and team.”

“This agreement complements our existing network of important partnerships which we constantly invest in and manage in order to optimise our commercial execution and deliver value for farmers and Eden’s stakeholders.
