Basel, CH / Davis, California — February 19, 2026

Syngenta and Botanical Solution Inc. (BSI) have expanded their exclusive agreement to bring Quillibrium®, a botanical-based biofungicide derived from Quillaja saponaria, to more growers across the Americas, starting with Mexico, Canada, and the United States.

The sustainable technology behind Quillibrium® (marketed as BotriStop® in Chile) utilizes BSI’s proprietary plant tissue culture platform to deliver consistent, high-quality extracts. This method eliminates the need to harvest protected trees, preserving biodiversity while ensuring a reliable supply for agricultural, turf, ornamental, and post-harvest applications.

Proven Performance & Expansion:
  • Proven Results: Since 2021, the partners have helped growers in Peru and Chile protect grapes, tomatoes, berries, and cherries from Botrytis, Sour Rot, and Powdery Mildew.
  • New Markets: The expanded deal grants Syngenta distribution rights in Mexico, Canada, and the U.S.
  • IPM Integration: Quillibrium® serves as a natural tool to safeguard produce from multiple pathogens, easing the adoption of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.

“By fostering collaboration with innovators like BSI, we are enabling farmers in the Americas to build effective pest management programs that combine biologicals and conventional solutions,” said Emilhano Lima, Syngenta’s Global Head of Seedcare and Biologicals.

Gaston Salinas, CEO of Botanical Solution Inc., added: “We’re excited to be Syngenta’s partner of choice to make botanical-based products like Quillibrium® available to more growers across the Americas. It is a natural way to safeguard fruits and vegetables while managing pests effectively.”

With the biologicals market projected to exceed $20 billion by 2030, this move strengthens Syngenta’s leadership in breakthrough, nature-inspired solutions that deliver both profitability and resilience.
