SALT LAKE CITY (AgPR) — Thryv Movement today launched a new effort to solve one of the biggest hurdles in farming: making sure the grower actually turns a profit.
Instead of treating regenerative agriculture as a hobby or charity, Thryv is treating it as a real business opportunity for a new generation of independent growers.
The initiative begins with FARM 100: Starting Your Regenerative Farm: From Soil Health to Farmers’ Market, an eight-week online program starting October 26, 2026. The course teaches everyday people how to build healthy soil, calculate real costs including their own labor, and sell directly to local customers.

“If farming only works for people willing to go broke doing it, this movement will never grow,” said Aaron Peterson, Director at Thryv Movement.
“We are starting in Utah to prove that taking care of the land and making a real living can happen at the same time.”
Food and agriculture represent an enormous industry, yet small growers often take the biggest risks for the lowest pay. Thryv’s goal is to show that a smart, soil-first business model can create dependable income for local producers.
Utah is the proving ground, with plans to expand the program nationwide.
