BioAg Industry Events & Conferences: BioAgri 2025 Summit

India Must Adopt BioAg to Safeguard Soil and Health

5TH ANNUAL BIOAGRI INDUSTRY SUMMIT – BIOAGRI 2025

Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad • 11th December 2025

The BioAgri 2025 summit concluded with a clear and unified message: biological agriculture is no longer an alternative, but an urgent national necessity for India.

Inaugurated by Dr Sagar Hanuman Singh, Director General of the National Institute for Plant Health Management (NIPHM), the summit brought together more than 200 leaders from industry, science, policy, startups, and agribusiness to deliberate on the future of sustainable, residue-safe agriculture.

As India’s oldest association representing producers of agricultural biological inputs, BIPA reaffirmed its commitment to advancing safe, science-driven, and sustainable biological solutions. The association highlighted the critical role of biologicals in reducing dependency on conventional chemical inputs while strengthening India’s competitiveness in global agricultural trade.

Summit Theme

“Nurturing Nature, Nourishing the Future”

BioAgri 2025 underscored that tightening international residue standards, soil degradation, climate stress, and growing public health concerns demand an accelerated transition toward biological farming systems.

A Call for National Policy

A key outcome of the summit was a strong call for a comprehensive National Soil Health Policy, led by Dr Sagar Hanuman Singh. He highlighted the alarming deterioration of soil quality under chemical-intensive agriculture and its cascading impact on plant, human, and environmental health, advocating structured national guidelines and soil rejuvenation programmes aligned with global best practices.

This recommendation was supported by Prof. M. S. Reddy, Founder President of the Asian PGPR Society, who described the shift to biological agriculture as “inevitable.”
