July 15, 2025 – PURCHASE, N.Y. & MINNEAPOLIS: Global food and agriculture giants PepsiCo and Cargill have entered a strategic collaboration to promote regenerative agriculture across 240,000 acres of Iowa farmland by 2030.

The focus of this partnership is their shared corn supply chain in Iowa, where Cargill sources ingredients from local farmers for some of PepsiCo’s most iconic products. With the support of Practical Farmers of Iowa (PFI), the initiative will be implemented at the grassroots level, offering farmers tailored technical guidance and financial incentives.

Iowa contributes more than 15% of the United States’ corn supply, making it a strategic location for this effort. Through trusted local networks like PFI, the program aims to equip farmers with region-specific knowledge to adopt regenerative practices and improve long-term sustainability.

Participating farmers will benefit from:

• Technical support based on crop type and region
• Financial incentives to reduce adoption risks
• Access to agronomic expertise from experienced partners
