FMC Corporation has announced a major regulatory milestone with the approval of its innovative herbicide active ingredient,
Dodhylex®, in South Korea. This marks a strategic advancement in FMC’s Asia Pacific growth roadmap,
offering rice growers a new solution for modern weed control.
Dodhylex® is the first herbicide active in HRAC Group 28 to be introduced in more than three decades.
With a novel mode of action, it delivers broad-spectrum control of resistant and hard-to-manage weed species,
particularly in rice cultivation. This registration reflects FMC’s commitment to innovation and sustainable crop protection.
The company plans to commercially launch formulated products containing Dodhylex® in 2026,
supporting farmers with an effective tool for integrated weed management. South Korea is among the first countries to approve this active,
paving the way for wider market adoption in the region.
This milestone also highlights FMC’s continued investment in research and regulatory advancement, aligning with the company’s mission
to equip farmers with next-generation technologies.
