Eden extends its European footprint and secures its first authorisation for Mevalone® in North Africa
Eden Research Secures Regulatory Approvals in Slovakia and Egypt for Mevalone®
Expanding European Footprint and Achieving First Authorisation in North Africa
4 August 2026
Eden Research plc (AIM: EDEN) has announced new regulatory authorisations for its Botrytis (grey mould) fungicide in Slovakia (registered as Mevalone®) and Egypt (registered as Trilogy™ by commercial partner Sipcam Inagra Egypt). These milestones expand the company’s European footprint and secure its first authorization in North Africa.
Key Market Expansions
- Slovakia: Authorised in July 2026 by ÚKSÚP for use on grapes and pome fruits. Commercialised by Biocont, the product addresses late-season Botrytis cinerea disease pressure in Central Europe’s wine-producing market.
- Egypt: Approved for use on grapes with no pre-harvest interval required. Commercialised by Sipcam Oxon through Sipcam Inagra Egypt, providing a strong commercial advantage for Egypt’s major export industry by supporting last-minute disease control.
“These two represent important commercial milestones. Slovakia expands our European footprint through Biocont’s established grower network… [and] Egypt marks the first authorisation in North Africa for Mevalone® and with no pre-harvest interval on the label, it provides a strong advantage for growers supplying highly regulated export markets.”
— Sean Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Eden Research
Eden and Sipcam are continuing to pursue further regional registrations in neighboring markets including Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco.
