Koppert strengthens Executive Board

New CCO, COO, and CPO Appointments Align Commercial, Operational, and Innovation Pillars to Accelerate Global Ag-Biosolutions Delivery

To sharpen its agility in the face of increasingly complex international horticultural challenges, Koppert strengthens Executive Board with the appointment of three key leadership roles. Effective July 2026, Boaz Oosthoek—a nine-year veteran of Koppert’s commercial operations—steps in as Chief Customer Officer (CCO) to unify the company’s global customer-focused strategy. Frans van de Noort, previously of Eneco, joins as interim Chief Operations Officer (COO) to optimize production, supply chain, and logistics. Concurrently, Martin Koppert transitions into the role of Chief Product Officer (CPO), focusing exclusively on R&D, innovation pipelines, and strategic partnerships. This restructured Board, led by CEO Hans Peters, aims to integrate market insights with operational execution to deliver more resilient and sustainable biological solutions for growers worldwide.

Koppert is strengthening its Executive Board with the addition of a Chief Customer Officer (CCO), a Chief Operations Officer (COO) and a Chief Product Officer (CPO). This brings Commercial, Operations and Product Development more closely together at Executive Board level, fostering stronger collaboration across these disciplines and enabling the company to respond more quickly to market developments and the evolving needs of customers worldwide.

Key Appointments

  • Boaz Oosthoek, CCO: Leveraging over nine years of international leadership at Koppert, including roles as General Manager of Koppert Spain and Commercial Director across Europe, Asia, and Africa, Oosthoek will spearhead the global commercial organization to solidify a customer-centric operational culture.
  • Frans van de Noort, COO: Joining as interim COO, Van de Noort brings a depth of executive expertise from organizations such as Eneco, Stedin, and General Electric. He is tasked with refining global production, supply chain resiliency, and logistics to sustain Koppert’s worldwide growth trajectory.
  • Martin Koppert, CPO: Shifting to the role of Chief Product Officer, he will now center his focus on the global product portfolio, innovation marketing, and strategic technical partnerships, ensuring that market-driven demands are rapidly translated into advanced product development.

“The challenges facing international agriculture and horticulture are becoming increasingly complex. To help growers and farmers succeed, we need an organisation that is agile, customer-centric, operationally strong, and continuously accelerating innovation,” said Hans Peters, CEO of Koppert.

The expanded Executive Board now comprises: Hans Peters (CEO), Siger Spaans (CFO), Martin Koppert (CPO), Boaz Oosthoek (CCO), and Frans van de Noort (COO). This organizational realignment is designed to increase decision-making speed and create a robust foundation for supporting sustainable, healthy crop production on a global scale.

Strategic Market Context

The professionalization and expansion of executive leadership teams at global ag-biosolution leaders signals a shift toward high-velocity commercial integration. As biological inputs transition from niche offerings to primary agronomic tools, incumbents are reorganizing to match the operational scale of traditional chemical conglomerates. This structural shift runs parallel to major corporate developments across the global sector, such as Biotalys initiating California regulatory consultations for its protein-based EVOCA biofungicide and Moa Technology and Corteva forming a multi-year herbicide R&D partnership to leverage high-throughput screening against resistant weeds, both highlighting the increasing pressure on industry leaders to secure, scale, and deliver novel biological assets.

“Restructuring leadership to integrate customer-centric market intelligence directly into the core of operational and innovation pipelines.”
