The beginning of the vegetative cycle is one of the most critical stages in vineyard disease management. As the vine resumes physiological activity, young shoots and leaves become highly susceptible to fungal infections like Downy Mildew, Powdery Mildew, and Grapevine Trunk Diseases (Esca and Eutypa Dieback).
As regulatory pressure in Europe limits conventional active substances, Veganic is leading a shift toward biological tools within Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs. This aligns with the Veganic Food Care concept, ensuring technical efficacy while prioritizing residue reduction and biodiversity.
- Belvine®: Formulated with Saccharomyces cerevisiae derivatives, it activates salicylic and jasmonic acid pathways to prepare the vine’s natural defenses against Downy and Powdery Mildew before infection occurs.
- Vintec®: Contains Trichoderma atroviride strain SC1, designed to colonize aerial plant tissues. It provides internal biological protection against Grapevine Trunk Diseases through mycoparasitism and nutrient competition.
The Veganic model is built on early activation of plant defenses and preventive biological colonization. This approach significantly reduces dependency on copper and synthetic fungicides without compromising final wine performance or vineyard longevity.
