Amoéba, a greentech specialized in natural microbiological solutions, looks back on its recent participation at SIVAL (International Exhibition of Plant Production Techniques) in Angers. During this benchmark event, Amoéba won the Gold Medal in the SIVAL Innovation 2026 Competition for its biocontrol solution.
Selected from 34 innovations, Amoéba’s solution AXPERA stood out in the “plant health, soil, and crop substrates” category for its pioneering scientific approach to sustainable protection against fungal diseases.
- Gold Medal Win: Recognized for opening new perspectives in sustainable fungal disease protection.
- Launch with Koppert: Partner Koppert announced the international launch of the TIAGAN brand, which will replace AXPERA for viticulture uses.
- Market Readiness: Commercialization for vines and vegetable crops is expected in 2026, pending final regulatory authorizations in targeted European countries.
“Receiving the SIVAL d’Or in Angers a few months after receiving the Bernard Blum Award in Basel is a real source of pride for the Amoéba teams,” said Jean-François Doucet, CEO of Amoéba. “We must put these alternatives that work at the service of farmers.”
The company is now awaiting market authorization decisions in 9 European countries, expected in the first half of 2026. Priority markets include France and Italy, where demand for copper alternatives in viticulture is high.
