GOFAR Becomes the Global Accelerator for Agricultural Robotics

Ten years after creating FIRA, the Global Organization For Agricultural Robotics (GOFAR) is undertaking a major strategic shift. No longer just an event organizer, GOFAR is transforming into a global accelerator for agricultural robotics, dedicated to supporting manufacturers and farmers in the real-world adoption of autonomous solutions.

This pivot reflects the market’s maturity, moving from prototypes to commercial deployment. To kickstart this new era, the organization has announced the GOFAR Tour 2026, launching this February in Toulouse to connect mature companies with distributors and end-users.

A decade after creating FIRA, the organization undertakes a major strategic pivot to support manufacturers and farmers in the real-world adoption of autonomous solutions

TOULOUSE, France (AgPR) Dec. 15, 2025 – After ten years spent structuring the agricultural robotics ecosystem, GOFAR (Global Organization For Agricultural Robotics) is taking a decisive step forward. The organization is no longer limiting itself to hosting an annual trade show: it is becoming the accelerator for the entire agricultural robotics ecosystem. This major strategic shift was unveiled Tuesday at a press conference, headlined by the announcement of the GOFAR Tour 2026, set to kick off February 5 in Toulouse.

Market Maturity, Ecosystem Acceleration

“The market has fundamentally changed over the past decade,” observes Aymeric Barthes, President of GOFAR. “What were mere prototypes in 2016 are now commercially deployed in fields. Agricultural robotics has entered the age of maturity, and our role must evolve with it: moving beyond the annual trade show to support the ecosystem year-round.”

This strategic transformation rests on a renewed fundamental mission: to continue building and consolidating the agricultural robotics sector by accelerating all its stakeholders. GOFAR now aims to accelerate adoption among three key players:

  • Accelerating farmer adoption through field demonstrations and concrete user feedback
  • Accelerating commercial development for mature companies by connecting them with distributors and end-users
  • Accelerating the growth of promising start-ups by linking them to markets and investors

“We’re aligning mature technologies with real field needs” emphasizes Aymeric Barthes. “Our role is to support both manufacturers in their commercial approach and farmers in their transition toward automation.”

GOFAR Tour 2026: Launch Set for February 5 in Toulouse

This new strategy will take shape on February 5, 2026, with the launch of the GOFAR Tour in Toulouse at the Agrobiopôle site in Auzeville-Tolosane. This inaugural day will also celebrate FIRA’s 10th anniversary—a decade of innovation in agricultural robotics—and lay the groundwork for this new era.

Three sector-specific tracks will run in parallel (field crops and vegetables, arboriculture, viticulture), with one notable feature: farmer-users themselves will present the machines and share their experiences. ROI, handling, real gains, limitations: a peer-to-peer approach designed to foster adoption.

Featured equipment will include: NH’s R4 robots, GUSS, Naïo’s Ted and Oz, KIOTI’s RT100, Sabi Agri’s SRBC, Pek Automotive’s Slopehelper range, INESC TEC’s Modular-e, PixelFarming’s Robot One, Léger’s RoboCut360, Agxeed’s AgBot, Pellenc’s RX-20, and the CYCLAIR robot.
