EcoPhage, a leader in the development and commercialization of sustainable phage-based biopesticides for bacterial plant diseases and anticipating its first U.S. EPA approval, today announced the appointment of Dr. Lu Wei Liu to its Board of Directors. Bringing extensive experience across sourcing, R&D, technology, and manufacturing, Dr. Liu joins EcoPhage as the company prepares for production scale-up and commercial launch in key markets.

Dr. Liu previously served as Director of Technology, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and In-licensing at FMC Agricultural Products International. He has also played key roles in several bio-fermentation startups, building expertise in manufacturing, licensing, regulatory submission, and product commercialization. Dr. Liu earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the School of Pharmacy of Beijing University, followed by a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pierre & Marie Curie and the École Normale Supérieure in Paris. He holds dual citizenship of Hong Kong and Canada.
