FarmQA Unveils Game-Changing Tools for Faster, Smarter Fertility Plans

FarmQA unveils Advanced Prescriptions and Nutrient Blender to accelerate and simplify agronomic fertility planning, enabling advisors to spend less time on calculations and more time on field strategy and grower support. Dated August 12, 2025, the release positions these tools as complementary approaches for variable-rate and flat-rate nutrient planning inside the FarmQA platform.

Advanced Prescriptions: precision at scale — Built for multi-field workflows, this feature converts soil test data, yield goals, and product selections into formula-based VRT recommendations across many fields in minutes. Agronomists can run multiple nutrient formulas in a single batch, apply zone- or grid-based methods, adjust min/max rates and multipliers on the fly, and export print-ready maps and VRT-compatible shapefiles. The design focus is clear: handle the math, mapping, and file exports so users can fine-tune agronomic decisions rather than spreadsheets.

Nutrient Blender: fast flat-rate planning — A lightweight calculator inside FarmQA’s Planning module that starts from yield-based nutrient targets, subtracts what’s already in the soil, and instantly computes product rates to close the gap. It is intended to replace ad-hoc spreadsheets for pre-season or in-season linear plans, keeping the entire workflow inside one system for speed and consistency.

How the two fit together — Advanced Prescriptions addresses variable-rate programs where spatial variability matters; Nutrient Blender serves flat-rate scenarios where quick, defensible calculations are needed. Both emphasize data-backed recommendations that move smoothly from inputs to executable files, reducing friction between analysis and application.

Workflow advantages — By centralizing formulas, soil analyses, and product libraries, agronomists can standardize recommendation logic across growers and seasons. Batch prescription runs and one-click exports compress hours of manual work into minutes, while field-level overrides preserve on-the-ground flexibility. The net effect: scalable precision without adding operational complexity.

Pricing and availability — Advanced Prescriptions is listed at $2,500/year, or $1,000/year for existing Prescription users. Nutrient Blender is included in the Planning module at $500/year. Both features are available now for immediate adoption within FarmQA accounts.

Why it matters — Fertility planning is one of the highest-leverage agronomic services. Offloading repetitive math and file prep allows experts to focus on interpretation, optimization, and grower advisory. With pressure rising to deliver the right rate in the right place at the right time, integrated tools for rapid, repeatable, and auditable plans offer a defensible edge.

Forward look — Expect continued consolidation of scouting, sampling, planning, and prescriptions inside unified agronomy platforms. As datasets expand (imagery, weather, tissue tests) and stewardship standards tighten, low-friction planning workflows that turn heterogeneous inputs into clear prescriptions will become table stakes. FarmQA’s new additions are a practical step toward that fully integrated, decision-centric future.
