Organized by Global BioAg Linkages (GBL), the BAW Congress & Expo was hosted at the beautiful Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Delhi from April 23–25, 2025, marking the sixth edition of this dynamic and growing annual event.

Held in India’s capital city, the 2025 Congress was a powerful combination of global innovation and sustainability. India was the perfect choice for this year’s Congress, with its globally recognized role in food production and sustainable farming practices, as well as its rapid advancements in AgTech and policy.

“What India needs, India delivers,” said Dr. Suresh Prabhu, India’s former union minister and Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, during his keynote address at BAW Congress. His words reflected India’s pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable agriculture not only for its own food systems but for the benefit of a rapidly growing world.

India’s vibrant agricultural economy, youthful innovation ecosystem, and generational wisdom provided the ideal backdrop for industry-defining conversations. As Prabhu also pointed out, “We need food and we need agriculture. Today we need it in such quantities, that it is unimaginable,” emphasizing the urgency and scale of the work ahead as the global population continues to rise.

This edition of the BAW Congress was organized in cooperation with four Strategic Institutional Partners: Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Maharana Pratap Horticultural University (MHU) and Agrinnovate India Limited. Their collective support elevated the overall impact of the event.
