Leadership shift at Koppert: René Koppert transitions from CEO to Supervisory Board
Berkel en Rodenrijs, The Netherlands – René Koppert has decided to transition from his role as CEO and will join Koppert’s Supervisory Board as of 14 May. This decision, made in close consultation with the Supervisory Board and the Koppert family, marks an important new chapter in the continued development and long-term growth of the company.
Over the past 55 years, Koppert has evolved from a small family-owned business into an international market leader in sustainable crop protection and pollination. In recent years significant progress has been made in sharpening the company’s strategic direction, putting customers more at the center of the organisation, and laying the foundation for regionalisation. Now that this groundwork has been firmly established, the company is entering a new phase focused on implementation.
“Having been closely connected to Koppert for many years, I feel a strong responsibility for the future of the company. We are at a pivotal moment in our development, and now is the right time to bring in a CEO from outside the organisation, someone with a fresh perspective and international experience, to further strengthen our global position,” says René Koppert.
With 15 years of service, René Koppert is the longest-serving member of the company’s third generation. During this time, he has made a major contribution to Koppert’s growth and transformation. Since becoming CEO in 2021, he has worked closely with the management team to navigate challenges, strengthen the organisation, and prepare the company for the future. Under his leadership, Koppert initiated the decentralisation of its production and supply chain activities and made significant investments to expand and future-proof its global production facilities.
The search for a new CEO is in progress. René Koppert is closely involved in the process to help ensure a strong fit with Koppert’s culture, values, and ambitions.
