•EliSun-a® optimizes water use in sunflowers by limiting evapotranspiration and stimulating root growth, helping the plants better withstand drought conditions.

•Results: EliSun-a® has shown an average yield increase of +3.2 quintals per hectare for sunflowers, while EliGrain-a® has demonstrated an average yield gain of +3.8 quintals per hectare when integrated with conventional fungicide programs.

Sunflowers and Cereals: Focused Solutions for Key Crops

Sunflower, a key component of France’s crop rotation system, has been severely impacted by drought stress, leading to declining yields. EliSun-a® positions the crop better to withstand water stress, offering farmers both sustainability and profitability.

Meanwhile, EliGrain-a® extends the benefits of bio-solutions to winter soft wheat, building on the success seen in spring barley during the 2023-2024 campaign. These products enhance resilience against stress while improving productivity.

Strategic Collaboration for Sustainable Agriculture

“This partnership with Elicit Plant allows us to reaffirm our commitment to agroecology and provide farmers with new concrete and profitable solutions,” says Pauline de Viry, Head of Bio-Solutions at BASF.

•BASF’s goal is to remain a major player in bio-solutions by 2030.

•Jean-Paul Genay, Director of the Agronomy Division at Elicit Plant, emphasizes that this partnership will accelerate the transition to sustainable agriculture.

A Holistic Approach to Resilience and Profitability

The combination of bio-solutions and conventional products offers a balanced pathway for farmers to secure productivity, profitability, and sustainability. Through this alliance, Elicit Plant and BASF are committed to helping farmers adapt to climate challenges while enhancing agricultural practices for a sustainable future.

Together, the two companies aim to empower farmers with innovative tools to improve crop resilience and pave the way for an agroecological transition, securing a more sustainable future for agriculture
