Madrid (September 23, 2025) – AlgaEnergy, a global biotechnology company specialized in microalgae-based biosolutions and part of the De Sangosse Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Julio Pérez Romero as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Julio, with a strong agronomist background, has dedicated over eight years to advancing the Group’s vision in Spain. A proactive and passionate leader, he steps into this role with the purpose of taking AlgaEnergy to the next level of consolidation across the international markets. His mission is to merge the DNA of De Sangosse with the pioneering dimension of AlgaEnergy, therefore consolidating years of innovation and building a distinctive market-leading identity.
