As a senior staff attorney, he researches and responds to legal questions from the public, attorneys, extension personnel, and legislative aides; teaches an Introduction to Agricultural Law course; and writes on federally funded topics including renewable energy, oil and natural gas issues, forestry, and estate planning. His reference work includes building 50-state databases covering recreational use statutes, alternative dispute resolution statutes, fence laws, and agritourism regulations.
