Biological crop protection company Bioline AgroSciences has been acquired by European investment group Eurazeo, marking a significant milestone in the biologicals industry. This strategic move is expected to strengthen Bioline AgroSciences’ capabilities in sustainable agricultural solutions and expand its global footprint.

According to Bioline AgroSciences, Eurazeo has become the principal shareholder through its Eurazeo Planetary Boundaries Fund (EPBF), a fund dedicated to investing in businesses that contribute to environmental sustainability. The terms of the acquisition, including financial details, have not been disclosed. However, the investment is expected to provide Bioline AgroSciences with the necessary resources to drive innovation, enhance research and development, and accelerate its mission of delivering environmentally friendly crop protection solutions.

Ludwik Pokorny, CEO of Bioline AgroSciences, expressed optimism about the acquisition, stating:

Joining EPBF will significantly enhance our positive impact. This collaboration provides the financial support, expertise, and strategic guidance Bioline needs to continue innovating, expanding, and strengthening its environmental and business objectives. With the backing of Eurazeo, we are poised to take our biological solutions to the next level, helping farmers worldwide adopt more sustainable farming practices.”

Eurazeo is a major player in the investment sector, managing €35.5 billion in diversified assets, including €25.2 billion on behalf of institutional and retail clients. The firm’s investments span across private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure, with a growing focus on businesses that contribute to sustainability and ecological responsibility.

Bioline AgroSciences has established itself as a leading provider of biological crop protection solutions, focusing on natural and environmentally safe pest control alternatives. The company operates six bio factories across the United States, United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Kenya. Its innovative solutions cater primarily to high-value crops such as berries, flowers, ornamentals, fruits, and vegetables, offering farmers more sustainable methods of protecting their yields while reducing reliance on chemical pesticides.

With this acquisition, Bioline AgroSciences is set to leverage Eurazeo’s expertise and funding to scale up its operations, develop cutting-edge biocontrol products, and extend its reach in global markets. This partnership underscores the increasing importance of sustainable agricultural practices and the role of biological innovations in the future of farming.
