In a strategic move to fortify its presence in the realm of biostimulants, Rovensa has recently completed the acquisition of Agro-K. This significant development not only marks a key expansion for Rovensa but also underscores the company’s commitment to advancing its capabilities in the field of agricultural biosolutions. The integration of Agro-K into Rovensa’s portfolio is poised to bring about enhanced offerings and solidify the company’s position as a major player in the biostimulants sector.

The Rovensa Group has successfully acquired Agro-K, a biostimulants company based in the United States. As per available information, Agro-K will gradually merge into Rovensa Next, the dedicated business unit for agricultural biosolutions.

Established in 1976 in Minneapolis, Agro-K specializes in sustainable agriculture by developing a range of biostimulants and specialized nutritional products. The acquisition, according to disclosed details, reinforces Rovensa Next’s presence in the United States, incorporating a set of complementary solutions and a technical sales team exclusively focused on biostimulation.

Given that the United States represents the largest global market for biosolutions and is the fastest-growing region for biostimulants, it holds a pivotal role in Rovensa Next’s ambitious expansion strategy, as highlighted by the company.

Javier Calleja, CEO of Rovensa, expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Agro-K to Rovensa. This strategic move is crucial in realizing our goal of becoming the leading biosolutions player in the United States, offering a comprehensive range of solutions nationwide. The two companies complement each other well, sharing a common approach to market entry, a vision of promoting increasingly sustainable agriculture, and a shared concern for people and society. This alignment will facilitate a swift integration and a successful collaborative journey in value creation.”

Chapman Mayo, President of Agro-K, also shared enthusiasm about the integration with Rovensa, stating, “We are excited about the possibilities that integration with Rovensa opens up in the US market. We strongly believe that Rovensa’s new products, technologies, research and development capabilities, and global experience will enable Agro-K to better serve its customer base, ensuring a consolidated position for Agro-K in the field of biosolutions.”
